The Network will only use the personal information you provide for responding to your enquiry and/or for statistic record keeping purposes. Information you provide may be retained in telecommunication carriage services such as email and telephone.

We welcome contributions to our newsletter from consumers. Contributions can be artwork, poetry, opinion pieces etc., and can also include contributions from associate organisations. By submitting a contribution you give consent for the Network to use your name (either in full or first name and surname initial) within publications, or use your contact information to make any follow-up contact about your contribution. The Network can only accept contributions that meet reasonable standards. For example, we can't publish things that may be offensive, defamatory or of an explicit/illegal nature. We also reserve the right to edit contributions where identifiable information may be present.

The Network collects information about consumers' service experiences (both good and bad) to help us identify where issues within the mental health system are present or emerging. Any personal information we may collect, including your name, phone number and/or email address, will not be provided to any third party and will only be used with your consent for a Network staff member to talk with you if you wish this to happen. For record keeping purposes, information you provide is de-identified to maintain your privacy. While we cannot help with individual issues, knowing about consumer experiences helps us advocate for changes to be made to mental health services and improve the health outcomes for consumers more broadly. If you want to provide a more detailed feedback, or are submitting on behalf of someone else, please fill in our Feedback and Complaints Form. We cannot provide any individual advocacy services but see our Useful contact page for organisations that do provide individual advocacy. We understand that sharing a bad experience about a mental health service can be a distressing experience and we thank you for your courage in telling us.
